Raise the Rent Cabaret
Friday May 9th at 8pm
This month's Cabaret acts include clown, magic, trapeze, hoop dancing, poi, drag, and live music! Hosted by the fabulous Wenda Watch. Come check out the diverse and amazing creative talent living among us here in Santa Fe!
As the name implies, all proceeds from our monthly cabarets help Wise Fool to pay the rent on our Santa Fe studio space.
March 9th at 8pm at Wise Fool Studio
Tix $10- $15 sliding scale at the door

Puppet Tales!
March 28 through May 4, Santa Fe and Penasco
Six weeks of living magic for the whole family featuring puppets, stilts, shadows, circus and stories old and new.
 Each weekend a new show in two locations!
All Friday shows are in Santa Fe (Wise Fool Studio) at 6:30pm
All Saturday shows are in Santa Fe (Wise Fool Studio) at 2pm
All Sunday shows are in Penasco (Penasco Theatre) at 2pm
Tickets are:
Adults : $12 per show
Kids: $5 per show

- Duo Series Pass (includes entry into all six shows for one adult and

- Family Series Pass (includes entry into all six shows for two adults

Wise Fool's classic - a participatory, educational and hand made journey through the world of puppetry.
- AN EVENING OF SHADOWS - April 4 thru 6:
Folktales new and old take to the shadows ...puppet shadows that is... for all ages.
- TOO MUCH NOISE!! - April 11 thru 13:
A participatory puppet folk tale for the very young in years or at heart. Especially geared for preschool thru 2nd grade!
- THE SECRET OF JOY - April 18 thru 20:
an allegory of friendship, fear and the persistance of honey bees.
- BACKSTAGE AT THE CIRCUS - April 25 thru 27:
A participatory escape into the world of circus, from under the big top and behind the curtains - direct to you!
- A SPOON FOR EVERY FOOL - May 2 thru 4:
Or is that a Fool for Every Spoon?? ...A "puppet-take" of a New Mexico folktale, this romp through the world of spoons, tortillas, class, pride, greed and humility that will take you across the globe and back home again.

BUST! Women's Circus Workshop 2008
May 20 - June 28 with shows on June 27 & 28
Build strength, flexibility, and community in this six-week summer workshop intensive for women of all ages and abilities. Classes will include: stilt walking, aerial arts, clown, acrobatics and performance skills, and are offered for both beginner and intermediate students. The workshop will culminate in an exciting performance at a Santa Fe theatre. Come join us in creating a mind-blowing ensemble of talented, powerful women.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY!
Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-9:30pm and Sundays 12-4pm
Final Performances: Friday, June 27th and Saturday, June 28th
Fee for the Intensive 6 Week Workshop is $575
Early bird Registration $525 for deposits received before April 15th.

Wise Fool Summer Youth Circus Workshop
Santa Fe, July 7th thru 18th (9am to 3:30pm) for youth age 7 to 14
The workshop is full, but please come see the show on July 18th!
Two exciting weeks filled to the gills with trapeze, stiltwalking, puppetmaking, juggling, acrobatics and clowning - all taught by circus professionals in a safe, fun and supportive environment. Workshop ends with a spectacular all star show on Friday July 18.

THE YEAR AHEAD - 2008
Performances, Workshops, Events:
- Puppet Tales - March 28th thru May 4th, a six week series of performances!
- Afterschool Fools: for youth 6 to 14 -classes in trapeze, stiltwalking, mask, puppetry, acrobatics and more taught by professional artists in a safe and fun environment.

- FEAST OF FOOLS!! - April 1, 2008
A Circus Dinner Theatre Extravaganza - This is the benefit event of the year not to miss!! At the Railyard Restaurant - limited seating- tickets on sale soon!
- BUST! Women's Circus Workshop and Performances -
Workshop : May 19 - June 29, open to all women - any age, any shape, experience or not! Six week intensive workshop for women to come together in a safe space to explore their physicality and find power and strength in themselves and each other. Classes taught by professional artists include trapeze, acrobatics, juggling, clowning, aerial arts and stiltwalking.
BUST Performance: June 28 and 29. This annual show is an inspiring and often whimsical culmination of 6 weeks of circus arts training by women from all walks of life exploring their physicality, power and inner strength.
- Summer Youth Circus Camps - Santa Fe July 7th thru 18th and Penasco July 21st thru August 2nd. Two exciting weeks filled to the gills with trapeze, stiltwalking, puppetmaking, juggling, acrobatics and clowning all taught by professionals in a safe, fun and supportive environment - and the sessions end with spectacular shows! Registration forms are available on our website March 1st. Register early - camps fill up fast. Penasco camp is free for local residents!

- Wise Fool Teacher Training:
Interested in teaching as part of Wise Fool's programming? We will offer a general teacher training on March 15th which (along with the specific skills required to teach in your medium) is required for all Wise Fool teachers. If you'd like to teach with us in the upcoming year call for more info and to sign up to take this workshop!
- Walking Tall Circus Residency:
in Miami, Florida, March and April, 2008 - circus workshops and performance with underserved urban youth.
- Circus Luminous 2008:
November 28th thru 30th at the Lensic Performing Arts Center. A must for your holiday calendar - local circus with all the trimmings!
